We send all new members a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications. Please see our choice and opt-out below.
In selecting to receive VetFriends membership emails, you agree and understand that unit member count notification emails like this are sent out, letting members know that others have joined. VetFriends does not guarantee that you may know these members, however the system lets you know that he or she is a member who served in the same unit, or a family member of someone who served in the same military unit as you. Please note: Some unit names are entered differently by each member at sign up, so there may be more members from your unit on VetFriends. With premium access try searching with the broadest unit name variations, or contact us directly for assistance.
Site and Service Updates
We also send the user site and service announcement updates. Members are not able to un-subscribe from service announcements, which contain important information about the service. We communicate with the user to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account via email.
